Founded in 2022, Alaska Pile Driving, LLC was born from a clear vision: to bring stronger, simpler, and more accessible foundation solutions to residential and light commercial projects across Alaska. Recognizing the growing demand for dependable piling systems, we set out to deliver helical pile solutions that combine precision, strength, and ease of installation.
Though helical piles have been used for decades, only recently have they gained recognition for their incredible versatility and reliability. We’re proud to be part of that movement—making cutting-edge foundation technology available to everyday homeowners, builders, and contractors.
Alaska Pile Driving, LLC was started by two brothers with over 30 years of combined experience in heavy equipment operation and heavy civil construction. That deep industry knowledge, paired with a track record of leading complex projects in some of the toughest conditions, fuels our confidence and commitment to delivering the high-quality workmanship our customers deserve.
We’re more than just installers—we’re problem-solvers, partners, and professionals who are passionate about building a stronger Alaska from the ground up.

Partnering with us means peace of mind—your project is in the hands of seasoned professionals who bring years of experience and expertise to every job. Helical piers are known for their exceptional strength and stability, making them the ideal choice for a reliable foundation. Our certified installers are highly trained and knowledgeable, with extensive hands-on experience installing piles from four leading helical pile manufacturers.
Helical piles are like giant metal screws that are twisted into the ground to support buildings or structures. They have spiral plates (called helices) that help them “screw” into the soil, kind of like how a screw goes into wood.
Once they're in the ground, they stay in place and can hold up a lot of weight. They transfer the load of your structure down to stronger, more stable soil layers deep below the surface.
Because they don't require digging or concrete, they can be installed quickly, with little mess, and in tight spaces—making them perfect for everything from houses and decks to stairs and cabins
Hammer-driven piles can still be a good fit for very large or industrial projects where noise and vibration aren’t a concern, and when the soil conditions favor them.
But for most residential and light commercial projects, helical piles win on speed, precision, and performance—especially in Alaska’s challenging soils.
NOT AT ALL!
At first glance, concrete or sono tube foundations might seem cheaper—but when you look at the big picture, helical piles often save you money. Here's how:
No excavation or formwork, No waiting for concrete to cure, Fewer inspections and weather delays, Less equipment, fewer materials, lower labor costs, long-term savings!
NOT THESE PILES!
Conventional pile driving uses vibrating and hammers to sink the piles into the ground. Helical Piles get screwed into the ground at slow speeds and high torque, virtually no noise or vibration, making them ideal for residential use.
ALL OF THEM!
Post brackets, beam saddles, square and round brackets, T’s, L’s, corners, porches—you name it, we can build it! If you can imagine it, we can make it happen!
